About Lauren

My approach to therapy is warm, unconditionally supportive, and incorporates humor!  I provide a sense of safety, comfort, and reassurance that helps clients show up as their true selves, without fear of judgement. The therapeutic alliance is a collaboration, and while I am here to guide you and provide skills, YOU are the expert in your experiences and together, we will work to unlock the keys to your success.

My professional experience ranges across settings, some of which include Residential Treatment, private practice, and working for the state as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor.  I have provided therapy to young children, older adults, and everyone in between!

I firmly believe there is no "one size fits all" treatment modality when it comes to therapy.  I utilize a range of different techniques depending on the individual needs of the client.  I most often incorporate: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and DBT.  For clients who have experienced trauma or past hurt, I typically incorporate Brainspotting, EMDR, Trauma Focused CBT (if 17 or younger), and/or Dr. McBride's five-step recovery model for survivors of narcissistic abuse.  Together we will determine what may be most appropriate for your unique situation as we work together, develop rapport, and discuss treatment options.
