About Lauren

I provide a sense of safety, comfort, and reassurance that helps clients show up as their true selves, without fear of judgement.  My approach to therapy is relational, warm, and supportive, while gently challenging my clients to dig deeper as needed.  The therapeutic alliance is a collaboration, and while I am here to guide you and provide skills, YOU are the expert in your experiences and together, we will work to reach your goals!

TREATMENT MODALITIES: I firmly believe there is no "one size fits all" treatment modality when it comes to therapy.  I utilize a range of different techniques depending on the individual needs of the client.

I most often utilize: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and DBT.  For clients who have experienced trauma or past hurt, I typically incorporate Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, Brainspotting, TF-CBT, (if 17 or younger), and/or Dr. McBride's five-step recovery model for survivors of narcissistic abuse.  I also frequently include mindfulness-based exercises to increase distress tolerance,  and learn more adaptive ways of working through overwhelming emotions as they arise.

Together we will determine what may be most appropriate for your unique situation as we work together, develop rapport, and discuss treatment options.
